This summary is here to help. The full terms below are what count.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
ShowbookEZ (the “service”) is a product of Gadzook Labs LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company (“Gadzook Labs”, “we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between Gadzook Labs and the company that uses ShowbookEZ (“you”). They cover the app at app.showbookez.com, the emails it sends, and any purchases you make in it.
By signing in or using ShowbookEZ, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use ShowbookEZ for a company, you confirm that you're allowed to agree to these terms for that company.
2. Your account
- You sign in with a code we email you, so whoever can get into your email can get into ShowbookEZ. Keep your email account secure.
- You're responsible for what happens in your company's account, including what the people you add to your team do there.
- ShowbookEZ is for business use by people 18 or older.
- If you think someone got into your account without permission, tell us right away.
3. Your content
Everything you put into ShowbookEZ belongs to you. That includes manuals and other documents, checklists, notes, amounts, receipts, shipments, contacts and photos (“your content”).
You give us permission to store, copy, process and show your content only as needed to run ShowbookEZ for you. That includes sending manuals and documents to our AI provider so it can read them, as explained in our Privacy Policy. We don't sell your content, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't use it to train AI models.
You confirm that you have the right to upload your content. You also confirm that you're allowed to add the people on your team, who will get emails from ShowbookEZ.
4. Check the deadlines
ShowbookEZ uses Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, to read exhibitor manuals and find deadlines, discount cutoffs, prices, forms and shipping addresses. It's good at this, but it can miss things or get them wrong. Show organizers and contractors also change their manuals and prices.
Each item ShowbookEZ finds links to the manual page it came from, so you can check it. Before you rely on a deadline, price, address or shipping detail, confirm it in the manual or with the show's contractors. Reminder emails can be delayed or caught by spam filters, so don't count on them as your only reminder.
ShowbookEZ helps you keep track of your shows. It isn't a guarantee. We aren't responsible for late fees, on-site prices, missed shipments or other costs if something is wrong, missing or late.
5. Free trial, plans and the Show Pass
- Free trial. A new company account can have a set number of manuals read for free. It's shown on the Plan & billing page. A read that fails doesn't count.
- Monthly plans. Plans are paid monthly and renew automatically. Each month the card on file is charged until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in Plan & billing → Manage billing. Your plan keeps working until the end of the month you've paid for.
- Show Pass. A one-time payment that adds more manual reads to your company. It's not a subscription. Unused reads stay on your account while it's open.
- Prices. The price and what it includes are shown before you pay. Founding-partner prices stay the same as long as your plan stays active; if you cancel, the founding-partner price may not be offered again. We may change prices for new purchases. For a plan you already have, we'll email you at least 30 days before a price change.
- Taxes. Prices are in US dollars. You're responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.
- Payments. Stripe handles payments, and its terms apply to payment processing. We never see your full card number.
- Failed payments. If a payment doesn't go through, Stripe will try again. If it still isn't paid, your plan may end and your account goes back to the trial limits. Your content stays in your account.
- Refunds. See our Refund Policy.
6. Links you share
For each show, ShowbookEZ can make a read-only link for your client and a calendar link. Anyone who has one of these links can see what it shows, without signing in. Share them only with people you trust. You can turn a client link off at any time on the show's page.
7. Fair use
Please don't:
- use ShowbookEZ to break the law or anyone's rights;
- upload content you don't have the right to share, or anything harmful such as viruses;
- try to get into another company's account or data, or test, overload or get around ShowbookEZ's security;
- copy, resell or rent out ShowbookEZ, or use it to build a competing product;
- use it to send spam.
8. The service
We work hard to keep ShowbookEZ running, safe and accurate. But it's provided “as is”, and there may be bugs, outages or maintenance. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something important that you pay for, we'll tell you first. On phones, the saved copy of your shows that works without signal may be out of date.
9. Ending your account
- You can stop using ShowbookEZ at any time. To close your company's account and delete its data, email us. Before you do, you can download your manuals and photos from the app.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or doesn't pay. When it's reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.
- After an account is closed, we delete its data as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Limits on our responsibility
As far as the law allows:
- Gadzook Labs makes no promises about ShowbookEZ beyond what these terms say. We disclaim all other warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy.
- Gadzook Labs isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. That includes lost profits, lost business, late fees, on-site charges and shipping costs, even if we were told they were possible.
- Our total liability for any claim about ShowbookEZ is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100.
Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
You agree to cover Gadzook Labs's reasonable costs from claims by others caused by your content or by your use of ShowbookEZ in a way that breaks these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll post the new version here with a new date. If a change is important, we'll email your account's owner at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using ShowbookEZ after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
12. The law that applies
Pennsylvania law governs these terms, apart from its rules on conflicts of law. Any dispute about them will be decided by the state or federal courts in Pennsylvania, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about ShowbookEZ.
